Walmart has some good deals this week.
Betty Crocker garlic mashed and Au Gratin potatoes are just .79 cents per box. Target has these at .79 cents a few weeks ago but now they are at $2.00 so this is a good deal. What makes it even better is you can print a 40 cents off coupon and get them for 39 cents!! There were also 40 cents off coupons in the 11/16 smart source insert. Stock up this is a good price.
Health Tip: For people who have to cut back on sodium you don't have to used those seasoning packets--it's still a good price for the ready potatoes that you can season yourself.
Green Giant Steamers are $1 and there was $1 off coupon in the 11/16 SmartSource. This is a great price. I've seen them at Jewel (Albertsons) for $2.50 and they are at Target for $1.60. Get them at Walmart for FREE!!! These are healthy too---low in carbs and sodium and you cook them in the micro right in the bag. Go buy some coupons on ebay and stock up. You could be eatting these forever if you bid right.
Muir Glen Tomatoes are under 30 cents with a printable coupon. I love stocking up on canned tomatoes.
What to do with all those canned tomatoes? Here is an idea on how to use them. When I'm making pasta and using jarred pasta sauce, I'll head up a sauce pan, add some olive oil and then diced garlic. I let that cook a bit (don't let garlic brown), then I add one can of diced tomaotes. Let that cook a bit, then add the jarred pasta sauce. It adds substance to the pasta and it's REALLY good.
