I just read a cool article that shows you how to send an email/text for free. I can type about 90 wpm on a keyboard, but with texting--forget it. It takes me forever and to make it worse I feel a need to say each word just as slow as I type it so I look like a moron. Sending a text message in the form of email is much easier for me, and happy day, it's free too. By sending it via the SMS gateway you bypass the cell phone companies text carrier and you and/or the recipient are not charged.
The following has a list of most of the cell phone carriers and the address to be used.
